What’s Possible When You Grow Your Business in Community
Read about real results and how to find your comunidad here.
Hola familia,
As a solopreneur of almost ten years, I know that growing a business can feel isolating, especially when the networks available don’t reflect your background or experiences. But I have learned, that in the right community, you gain more than just support—you access a wealth of opportunities, collaboration, and growth that wouldn’t be possible alone.
My business wouldn’t be where it is today without the power of community. From building a network for women songwriters back in 2016 to co-creating The Mujerista Network in 2020, or launching The Jefa in Training Circle in 2023, I’ve seen firsthand how growing alongside a community of like-minded, driven individuals can transform your business.
Every milestone I’ve achieved—whether it’s writing Jefa in Training, scaling my consultancy to six figures, or launching new programs—has been fueled by collaborations and support within these communities.
The biggest early career mistake I made in entrepreneurship was thinking I had to do everything alone.
If this resonates, here’s a glimpse of what can happen when you grow your business in comunidad, just based off of what I’ve seen in the last year in The Jefa in Training Circle::
Increased Social Media Engagement: Members of the circle consistently amplify each other’s posts, leading to increased engagement and visibility across platforms. Together, we ensure that each other’s voices are heard, which directly boosts business reach.
Sold-Out Events, Retreats, and Programs: One of the most powerful things about our community is how we hire each other to support our businesses. From event planning to retreat execution, members have sold out their offerings by tapping into the circle’s resources and talents, keeping the economic development within our community.
New Partnerships That Drive Revenue: The connections made within the circle have led to countless opportunities for partnerships and collaborations. Whether it’s co-hosting events, launching joint ventures, or sharing networks, these partnerships have helped our members increase their revenue and expand their influence.
Economic Empowerment Through Hiring: When we hire within our community, we not only boost each other’s businesses but also contribute to the economic development of Latina entrepreneurs as a whole. Members frequently hire one another for services like branding, content creation, and coaching, ensuring that the money stays within the community and helps us all thrive.
Clear Direction and Accountability Through Mentorship: In our community, you’ll never have to solve challenges alone. Think of us as your thought partners that can brainstorm with you, problem-solve and hold you accountable. We will celebrate your wins and help you navigate the bumps along the way.
ICYMI, this is who we are.
