Hola familia,

I was inspired to write this because I’ve been connecting with so many amazing individuals with shared missions this week and it was just the boost I needed to get through these (what seem like never-ending) rainy days in Portland.

I’ve have been a community-builder for the last ten years of my life and while it seems wild to say, I don’t think I’ve truly felt part of a community until now. It’s possible that for a good portion of my career I was building communities for other people and that’s why I felt the disconnect, but now, every connection is genuine, generosity is reciprocated, and we lean on each other when things get hard and to celebrate our wins.

But it’s taken work to get to this point. Being vulnerable, making time for cafecito chats when my to-do list just keeps growing, attending events outside of my comfort zone, sliding into people’s DMs - but- these connections have gotten me through the rollercoaster that is entrepreneurship. And for that I am so grateful.

I would like to invite you to enter your community-building era and start finding your support system for whatever phase of life/business you’re in. Go in with an open mind and trust the process. Enjoy the journey! ❤️
